About Mens Hair Co.
Men’s Hair Co opened its doors to the public in November 2014. The Shop initally opened as a one man show which depended largely upon the loyal clientele, Jason the owner, had developed over the course of his career. However, through the power of social media and word of mouth, the clientele grew to the point where one man was no longer enough for Men’s Hair Co. Jason has since hired four more skilled staff members to meet the demands and become part of the MHC team. Today the shop continues to grow and mature and we are forever bettering ourselves. Here at MHC we believe that learning is on-going and are continually improving techniques and attending in-house training to offer the best service possible to our customers. (Jason also offers educational work-shops to up and coming barbers/hairdressers outside of the MHC team). With two more locations in the in the pipe-line and a rigorous selection process for hiring the most promising barbers to join the team, MHC is eager to establish itself as one of Irelands leaders in Men’s Grooming.
Our Mission
At MHC we strive to provide the highest standards of Barbering and Men’s Hairdressing in a clean, comfortable and stylish environment. We operate on an appointment basis in order to guarantee a minimum 30 minute service for each of our customers. We aim to consult, inform, and reassure our customers in all aspects of male grooming and style.
Our Stylists
Jason Brophy – Director/Senior Stylist
With 7 years of barbering behind him, Jason is highly skilled in all aspects of Barbering and mens hairdressing. Being a strong and passionate believer in life-long learning, Jason has set up and his own education system including in-house training and workshops for all members of the Barbering and Hairdressing trade.
Paddy Shorthall – Senior Stylist
Local to the area, Paddy is a true Men’s Hair Co original, being the first barber to train and graduate through the MHC Apprenticeship programme. Paddy has since rose to the top of the pile as the current store manager in Men’s Hair Co Dun Laoghaire. Paddy is attuned to the needs of every client that sits in his chair and aims to give every customer a unique experience tailored to their individual style and character.
Leigh Cassoni – Senior Stylist
Leigh has been with Men’s Hair Co since early 2017. Before arriving at MHC Leigh had been working in the industry for 3 years including time spent owning and running his own shop. He came to us directly from the Academy Barbers in Cellbridge after completing a Men’s Hair Co workshop along with various other workshops he had taken to get to the level he is currently at. Leigh started with us as a Stylist and has since been promoted to Senior Stylist merited by his rapid development in all aspects of the role.
Dean Redmond – Stylist
Dean came to Men’s Hair Co immediately after finishing his apprenticeship in Dublin city centre shop The Butcher Barber. Coming from this Male Salon environment he is well equipped with excellence customer service skills and professionalism. Since landing in MHC he has developed excellently as a stylist. He is a perfectionist though so he can often spend up to 45 minutes on a cut to give each client his best work.

Dillon Field – Senior Stylist
Dillon has spent 3 years in hairdressing working with Herman’s Salon Dundrum and Peters Marks Style Club. During this time he catered to both Men and Women. Dillon brings the professionalism and sophistication of a ladies salon and blends it with the familiarity of a Men’s Barbershop. In essence he embodies the exact characteristics we encourage every MHC team member to possess.
